Springbok Substation

Tice Electric Company constructed the 34.5kV/230kV collector substation supporting the 8minutenergy Springbok 1 & 2 solar farms. Our work included installation of grounding, conduit, precast cable trench, structural steel, and bus. Substation equipment included switches, circuit breakers, instrument transformers, and (2) power transformers. The station collects the (5) feeders from the Springbok 1 and the (6) feeders from the Springbok 2 and connects that power to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power transmission system.
